Story of Sri Ashok

BACKGROUND

Nearly four decades ago, if you had asked a consumer why she preferred a particular brand of papad, she likely would have responded with a blank stare or a casual shrug. Papad, at the time, was simply seen as a basic commodity — something you picked up from the local store without much thought or brand preference.

This mindset was a reflection of the market landscape back then. Before the launch of SRI ASHOK, papads lacked distinct features or branding; there was little to set one apart from another.

Since our humble beginnings in 1986, PSK set out with a clear mission — to redefine the papad industry. With a commitment to purity and innovation, our special refining process led to the creation of SREEASHOK papads — known for their exceptional taste, lasting crispness, and unmatched quality.

This breakthrough became the foundation of one of the most inspiring market-building journeys in the Indian food industry.

Today, nearly four decades later, we are honored to be affectionately known by our loyal customers as “THE PAPAD COMPANY” — a name that reflects our passion, legacy, and the trust we've built across generations.
